Frank Newnham, Founder
Frank Newnham, Owner of Newnham Constructions, has been in the building game for 40 years and is a third-generation family builder, so you might say building new homes is in his blood.
In the early 60s his grandfather, Kevin Newnham, built properties in Sydney. Carrying on the tradition, his father, Reginald, became a builder too, building properties all along the east coast of Australia in the 70s. Then at the tender age of 15, Frank’s father put him to work as his apprentice carpenter, and Frank has been building ever since.
In 1985, Frank and his family came to the Gold Coast where he started Newnham Constructions. Newnham Constructions has provided great versatility in construction throughout Queensland, building everything from standard extensions to one-off exclusive homes of stunning style, quality, and finish.
Over the past 25 years, Frank has seen many builders come and go. Like most industries and professions, the ‘fly by night’ builders who find you, flog you, and forget you, chasing the quick buck with shoddy workmanship, will always exist. Shane Newnham, Director
Shane Newnham is the Director of Newnham Constructions, bringing more than 12 years of industry experience and a strong foundation in both construction delivery and executive leadership.
Progressing from senior project management into a strategic leadership role, Shane now oversees company direction, operational performance, financial oversight, project governance, and stakeholder relationships, helping drive sustainable growth across the business.
Holding a Certificate IV in Low Rise Construction Works and a supervisor’s licence, he combines detailed technical expertise with business acumen, ensuring quality assurance, risk management, and client satisfaction remain central to every project.
Known for his transparent communication, decisive leadership, and solutions-focused approach, Shane fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence, strengthening Newnham Constructions’ reputation as a trusted, client-focused building partner across the Gold Coast and beyond.
