Shane Newnham is the Director of Newnham Constructions, bringing more than 12 years of industry experience and a strong foundation in both construction delivery and executive leadership.
Progressing from senior project management into a strategic leadership role, Shane now oversees company direction, operational performance, financial oversight, project governance, and stakeholder relationships, helping drive sustainable growth across the business.
Holding a Certificate IV in Low Rise Construction Works and a supervisor’s licence, he combines detailed technical expertise with commercial acumen, ensuring quality assurance, risk management, and client satisfaction remain central to every project.

Shane grew up watching Newnham Constructions take shape around him, and it's fair to say the building industry is in his blood. As Director, he brings a calm, considered approach to every project, the kind of steady hand that keeps things moving when the pressure is on. Away from the tools and spreadsheets, Shane loves to spend time with his two boys, his wife Deearne and their dog Scout, but don't let the quiet interests fool you. Shane is sharp, dedicated, and one of the best in the business.

50 Years with Newnham Constructions
When you've been in the building game for half a century, you've earned the right to have an opinion on just about everything, and Frank has plenty. As the driving force behind Newnham Constructions since the early days, Frank has watched the Gold Coast grow from the ground up, and had a hand in much of it. Family is everything to Frank. He'll talk about his kids and grandkids with the same pride he has for a perfectly finished build. When he's not on site or solving problems others didn't know existed, you'll find him out on the water, or planted firmly on the couch cheering on his footy team.
Carpenter
11 Years
Eleven years in, Lyndon is one of those people who makes everything look easy. As a carpenter, he's got the experience to tackle just about anything, and the relaxed attitude to match. Nothing's ever too much trouble, and problems have a way of sorting themselves out around him. Outside of work, fishing takes priority whenever possible. If there's a rod, a quiet spot, and enough time, Lyndon is a happy man. Genuinely one of the good ones.
Campaign Manager
9 Years
Deearne is the person behind the brand you see, helping put Newnham Constructions front and centre across the Gold Coast. With nine years under her belt, she knows the business inside and out and brings a sharp eye for detail to everything she does. Deearne is married to Shane and is happiest when with her family, preferably on a beach, navigating a 4WD track, or somewhere mid-hike with great views and no phone signal. She brings that same energy and enthusiasm to her work, and the results speak for themselves.
Trades Manager
7 Years
Known to everyone as Rolly, Daniel has been part of the Newnham family for seven years and is a crucial part of keeping projects on track as Trades Manager. He knows the work, knows the people, and knows how to get things done, which is exactly what you want in a trades manager. Outside of work, Rolly is either under a car or setting up a campsite, sometimes both on the same weekend. A grounded, dependable bloke who leads by example.
Painter
5 Years
Andrew is an excellent painter. Just don't ask him to do any away from work. After five years of delivering immaculate finishes on site, his own walls are strictly someone else's problem. When the brushes are down, Andrew is all about rest, recovery, and a good social occasion. He's the one who'll organise the barbecue, show up with snacks, and make sure everyone has a good time. A true professional on the job and a genuine laugh off it.
Office Administration
3 Years
Sue is the one who keeps the office running smoothly and everyone else on track. Three years in, she's become a cornerstone of the Newnham team, calm under pressure, organised to a fault, and genuinely lovely to deal with. Away from work, it's all about the grandchildren, who clearly take up a very happy portion of her time. Sue also has a creative side. She loves drawing and painting, which perhaps explains her appreciation for the fine work the team produces on site.

Rory has been with the Newnham team for three years and brings a reliable, can-do attitude to the job each day. When the work week wraps up, Rory is most at home in or near the water, surfing when the conditions are right, fishing when they're not, and fitting in a round of golf whenever possible. Three solid hobbies, zero complaints. A great bloke to have on the team.
Trades Assistant
1.5 Years
Nathan has been part of the Newnham crew for over a year now, and he's settled in nicely. A solid trades assistant who shows up ready to work, Nathan keeps things moving on site without any fuss. His ideal weekend involves good company at the pub, a stretch of beach, and proper downtime with his wife. He's the kind of person who works hard and rests well, a philosophy the whole team can get behind.

1 Year
Deni joined the Newnham team a year ago and has already made his mark. A steady hand with a roller and a good eye for detail, he takes real pride in his work. When Friday rolls around, Deni's focus shifts entirely: fishing line in the water, campfire going, and not a paintbrush in sight. He's also a bit of a car enthusiast, which means the ute is always well looked after. Quietly gets on with things, and does them well.
Accounts Manager
12 Months
Jodie joined the Newnham team a year ago and has brought some serious energy to the accounts department. When she's not reconciling figures, she's on the sidelines coaching her daughter's netball team, where, by all accounts, she's just as organised as she is at work. Jodie loves camping, makes what she confidently calls the best espresso you'll ever have (and she might just be right), and brings a warmth and efficiency to everything she does. A great addition to the team.
Carpenter
6 Months
Jaiden is the newest addition to the Newnham crew, and he's hit the ground running. Six months in, he's already earning his stripes as a carpenter with a solid work ethic and a willingness to learn. Family keeps him grounded, and when there's a free weekend, he'd rather have a line in the water than just about anything else. He's shaping up to be a great fit, on-site and off-it.
